Our client was setting up a satellite kitchen in Dubai, linked to an online ordering platform that offers affordable home-cooked food. The tray includes a main platter, salad and dessert at a competitive price. Knowing that delivery constitutes 80% of all orders in Dubai, the client was entering a realm of rough competition. They were betting primarily on their 35 minutes delivery time and on the food’s quality.
We named the brand ‘Yawmi’, meaning something you do every day, in order to reinforce the idea that this could be your go-to app for every day home-cooked lunch at the office. The slogan ‘homemade goodness every day’ complemented the name perfectly. We created their brand name, logo, identity and menu. Knowing that they don’t have a physical shop, our challenge was to build trust online and get customers to form the right impression of the brand just through the website journey and quality of images. UX and UI were developed in a way to make the eCommerce website journey smooth and straight to the point, highlighting the main dishes in the most appetizing way.
With the launch of Yawmi’s website came the rapid adoption and expansion of the brand. We were able to overcome the online barrier and attract an audience who trusted the brand directly. The audience would return to the website frequently because the quality of the food was so on point. In only less than a year, Yawmi managed to successfully expand to Abu Dhabi.
