The Brief

Influencer Alice Abdelaziz came to us wanting to rebrand her highly successful tanning oil “WonderTan” and to develop a few other SKUs for body lotion.
Alice and her sisters are very well known public figures in Lebanon and the GCC, so it made sense that the oil, that was launched 2 years ago, sold out in many locations and got celebrity endorsements in Alice’s support. That said, the design wasn’t done well – the bottle made the product look cheap, and it had her image on it, which was tricky to be sold in many GCC countries.

The Solution

As her brand consultants, we challenged the brief by advising her to take a step back and build the base of a brand that was all-encompassing, rather than SKUs that look disjointed. We went for “Take me to Wonder” which was the name of Alice’s blog and then developed a strategy that served as the spinal cord of the brand, able to handle expansion of product lines and live beyond just Alice’s name. The design guidelines possessed the elements of a timeless brand in terms of colors, bottle’s shape and tone of voice, as we wanted to appeal to anyone in Lebanon or the GCC and not just her fans and followers.
We were involved in every aspect of the product development from logo and identity to bottle shape, label design and printing, and even got to sample the product in progress. The body lotion line was released in 3 scents: Amber, Honey and Musk.

The Result

The lotions were launched on Alice’s birthday. The event was a lovely celebration for which we designed gift boxes including the 3 lotions. They were distributed to her close friends and representatives from the media. The lotions are now being sold on the TMTW website and a distribution plan for Lebanon and the GCC has been set for summer 2019!
