Muvi, the first homegrown Saudi cinema is making a difference in the way people experience movie theaters, by sponsoring local content, offering local flavors and building a unique connection with the Saudi audience. Being their communication agency and marketing partner, we always seek to translate the brand’s ambitious vision in everything we create, including the ongoing content on their social media channels.
From the moment we took on the page, our aim was to build the proper base of a Saudi love brand, building relatability with the local audience and paving the way for the brand to achieve its ambitious vision of growth. Our content, tone of voice and posts are all rooted in the Saudi lifestyle, a fact that quickly reflected positively on the channels, gathering a high number of followers and engagement.
Muvi’s flagship location was about to open in the trendy U Walk Riyadh, and so we needed a campaign that would match the hype, create awareness and drive footfall to the new location.
Our campaign title was “Jawwak movie? Ta3al muvi!” which translates to “in mood for a movie? Come to muvi!”. Built on different target audience personas and portraying various moviegoers, our models were casted to have expressive facial features that were later exaggerated in post-production to add a comic caricature effect.
The campaign was released in various Out Of Home (OOH) locations around U Walk and on all the brand’s social media platform. Snapchat filters with the different characters were created and geotargeted to appear for anyone around U Walk.
The campaign was a huge success and generated engagement online and offline.
